Express Employment Professionals Donates $75,000 to Nonprofits across the U.S.

(PRWEB) March 27, 2015

OKLAHOMA CITY, March 27, 2015 – Express Employment Professionals, the nation’s largest franchised staffing company, along with its franchise locations in Michigan, Minnesota, Illinois, Kansas, Ohio, Colorado and Tennessee, is donating $ 75,000 to seven different nonprofits.

The donation is part of The Impact Project, an initiative of the company’s philanthropic committee designed to give back to nonprofits nominated by franchisees among their 725 franchise locations.

“We pride ourselves on having a culture built on giving and service at Express,” said Bob Funk, CEO and chairman of the board of Express Employment Professionals. “With that in mind, we know how important it is to support the communities where we work, serve and live. The commitment that these franchisees have shown to these organizations is a great example of that support.”

Operation Come Home, a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization in Michigan that provides food, shelter, guidance and life-saving services for veterans and their families, was the grand prize winner, receiving a $ 25,000 donation. As part of this donation, Rochester Hills and Troy, Michigan Express franchisee Paul LaFrance will match the donation with another $ 25,000 donation to help with funding for the new housing complex.

“I’m honored to be a part of a company that believes so strongly in giving back to the communities where we live,” LaFrance said. “This money is going to help so many veterans in the southeast Michigan area get the help they need to rebuild their lives with support, counseling and career training.”

Below is a complete list of the nonprofits and the donation amount they will receive from Express.

    $ 25,000, Operation Come Home – Pontiac, Michigan
    $ 10,000, Simon Says Give – Minneapolis/Saint Paul, Minnesota

U.S. News, Best Lawyers Rank Upchurch Watson White & Max as Tier 1 Firm in 3 Metro Areas

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (PRWEB) November 14, 2014

Dispute resolution is the only thing Upchurch Watson White & Max does, and the group was recognized with “Tier 1” rankings for its mediation and arbitration services in and around three Southeastern U.S. cities earlier this month by U.S. News & World Report and Best Lawyers.

Although not technically a law firm, UWWM comprises a panel of attorney/mediators who no longer practice law but who practice dispute resolution disciplines, such as arbitration and mediation, that are being described as “alternative” less frequently with time.

“Tier 1 rankings are determined through a firm’s overall evaluation, which is derived from a combination of your clients’ impressive feedback, the high regard that lawyers in other firms have for your firm, in addition to the information provided to us by your firm through the Law Firm Survey,” says Rebekah Fasel, Legal Media Specialist for Best Lawyers.

The rankings, published in U.S. News-Best Lawyers “Best Law Firms 2015” are only the latest Best Lawyers recognition Upchurch Watson White & Max and its panel members have received.

UWWM Principal Rodney A. Max learned earlier this year that he is the Best Lawyers Lawyer of the Year 2015 for mediation in not only the Birmingham metro, but also the Miami area. The news was repeated this month with a different twist in a special section included in The Miami Herald and selected Florida editions of The Wall Street Journal.

In it, Mr. Max is recognized for Alternative Dispute Resolution.
